I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a happy and healthy festive season.

As the New Year approaches, it is time for reflection on 2009 and the accomplishments of our Conservative Government.

We have

Taken action to help support workers and families through Canada’s Economic Action Plan.

Worked to create new opportunities for Canadian businesses to grow and prosper

Confidently asserted Canadian values and leadership on the world stage.

Acted to ensure that every Canadian has the right to live, work and play free from the threat of violent criminals and predators.

However, the job is not yet done.

There are many Canadian families who continue to face challenges as a result of the global recession. Yes, we see positive signs – like the creation of new jobs in November – but there is still more work to do.

Now is not the time to change course. A many of you know, we must continue to implement our action plan. We need to help those in need and lay a strong foundation for future growth and prosperity.

In the New Year, I look forward to meeting with you and hearing your comments.

Wishing you all the best in 2010

Christina Perreault
St. Paul’s Conservative Party Candidate
